Through a donation to the Foundation’s Endowment Fund you can create a gift in your name or in the memory of a loved one that will forever continue to support the Library and the community it serves. An endowment provides supplemental funding for the Library in perpetuity, guaranteeing annual income to enhance library services and providing protection for the long term. Only a percentage of the earned income from an endowment is used, while the principal remains forever intact.

An endowment named in honor of an individual or a family can be established for a minimum gift of $5,000. You can designate the endowment to support a particular area of the library’s collections, indicate specific services or program to be supported, or choose to supplement areas of the library where the need is the greatest. A gift restriction is guided also by the Foundation’s mission statement and the approval of the Board of Directors in keeping with the mission.

We acknowledge and thank the family of Gloria Joy Sklansky for establishing the fund in her memory. Each year 5% of the fund will support the purchase of new materials for the children's library.
